  1. @ Anton: Thank you very much! @ Tommy: I intend to insert 2 figures in the twe turret hatches.... 1 with a helmet and the other with barret or naked head don't know yet... My leopard is actually situated around 2005. Thanks fo the help and the great link. @ Erik: Thanks for pointing that out Erik!! I will add that antenna once the rear turret bustle tarp is in place. Maybe with a little hole in it and just the top of the antenna visible. I noticed that I did not have the enlarged turret rear stowage basket.... But that problem should be fixed now . The figures should not be a problem now to!! Thank you very much for the help. @ Roar: The time period that I want to show is mid 2000. That paint will be a special thing...... More to follow @ Einar: Thanks for the comments @ Jorgen: Your friend looks kinda frosty Thanks for the comments. After looking through some pictures from Eric I noticed that I forgot to make the extend turret rear stowage. I intend to situate this tank around 2005 during the FTX battle griffin. A friend of mine was so nice to hand me over his side turret extra armor since he is in no need of them. So I made some changes after the first paint was on Thanks for looking and have a nice weekend Roel
  2. Hey Knut-H thank you very much for the comments. Finished the build a couple of days ago. We still did some extra detailling on the sides off the turret but that was lucky for me not to much work. Now we can start the painting. Is there someone on this forum that can help me search some figures for this tank? Maybe some information about crew clothing and helmets? Thanks guys!! Cheers
  3. Thanks for the comments and having a look my friends! Started working on the turret and for some reason not everything fitted that well! With some small plastic pieces glued in place we solved the problem. The turret frontal armor is about finished now. After that we created some cast texture using Humbrol glue and a stiff brush. To bad there are now decals for the turret numbers and the drawings some tanks have on there old fish eyes. Is there somebody who manufactures norwegian tankers? What helmets do they use? Thanks Roel
  4. Hey Edward I'm glad somebody likes the show here Thanks for looking and commenting more will follow soon Grtz Roel
  5. Happy for me I had lots of time this week to do some modelling and the effort payed off. We constructed and painted the turret interior black. The hull was finished also except for the rear towing hook (STILL DON4T KNOW WHICH MODEL TO USE ) and the gun travelling lock. The travelling lock might not be installed don't know yet. I'll get straight down to bussiness with some pictures! The turret: The rear hull: The front mudguards: And the hull finished pictures: Thanks for looking any comments are welcome! Greetings Roel
  6. Hello everyone Since the last update we have been working hard to get the hull finished. Still not reached the end of it but we are making good progress. I have finished the right side of the tank with all of it's equipment. Next I focused on the engine deck. Here we did some minor adjustments and added also some PE: And finally the rear of the tank. First off all we noticed that the rear did not fit that great so we started to adjust everything there before adding details. That was all for today folks. I just have an urgent question about the tanks rear central towing hook. I noticed that it is of different shape with some Leopard 1A5 NO2 . Was that an upgrade together with the extended turret basket or introduced from the beginning? Is there any Norwegian decal manufacturer who makes decals for military vehicles? Thanks for the help Cheers Roel
  7. @ Erik: Tank you very much for pointing that out. I think I will not do the extended basket! @Havard S.: the white parts make the suspension arms workable! I can put them in any random position as shown on the pictures. The purpose is to be able to put them in a correct position for a future diorama. I hope this is an awnser to your question. I will make some measures tomorrow and hopefully post them during the week! I'm glad you loved the M-109! Some new update today:using super glue and sanding a lit made it possible to get rid of the ugly engravings! The left side is almost finished let's say about 85%. We also started doing the right side of the vehicle. Thanks for looking! All comments is welcome Greetings Roel
  8. So here we are again with a new update. We managed to paint the interior hull black this way we can let some hatches open without having a nasty reflection of unpainted interior. Next up was the finishing of the front stowage box and mounting of the little piece to the front hull. After this was set I started filling the hull sides, Italeri made some nice engravings of where to put the shovels etc > Some cyanoacrylate glue and lots of sanding does the trick. Thanks for having a look any comments are welcome! I would like to ask 2 questions: The pictures from KCAMPS and a book from tankograd I bought show 1A5NO2 all with extended turret baskets. Was this standard issue or just a modification used at the end off there tour in the Norwegian army before being replaced by Leo 2's?? If there is still someone who has some good quality pictures of Leopard 1A5NO2 in splinter camo and is willing to share to aid my build I would be very greatfull!!!! Further I want to wish everyone up in the high North a Merry X-mas and a happy new year! Cheers Roel
  9. Somehow I managed to delete my previous post  Dumb ass But anyway I remade the post. My new current project a Norwegian Leopard 1A5NO2 from italeri on scale 1/35. For this build I'm using the excellent walk around from Erik which I found on prime portal and off course the links he provided me from KCAMPS. This is very helpfull in building everything right the way it is. So no more bla bla some pictures Workable suspension: The hull front: Again sorry for my obvious dumb action! Grtz Roel
  10. @ Jens: I don't now Yet. Telford is that in Holland? Do you know the exact date? I'm going to the nationals this weekend in Nieuwegein. They are on saturday 18 october. Grtz
  11. Good evening all Thanks for the comments I would really likt to thank all the people that helped me out by searching information ginving me pics etc.... @ Kyrre: I would really love to do that some time. But I'll be serving my third tour in Kosovo from December till next year april. Grtz Roel
  12. Hello I finished my current model saturday morning around 10 o'clock. Started it last year December. I want to share the end pics now with you guys. I'm sorry for the bad pics. The light was not great and I had to take some quick pics. Better pics will follow within 10 days when I return from an excercise. The pics: Thanks for viewing. Comments are welcome Cheers Roel
  13. Hello guys It's been a while since I have posted my last update but I have a new one. I finished the chips on the vehicle. You have to look and search well to see them but they are there. Because it is not a WW2 tank but instead a modern vehicle with proper maintenance done on it. I decided to a minimum of chipping. I now have to paint some details like headlights, pericsopes, the tracks etc... And last but not least the dust. Just a little more and it should be finished within a week I hope. The pics Thanks for viewing comments are welcome as always. Goodnight Roel
  14. Hello Thank you very much for the comments everyone they are of great help!! Finished the turret yesterday. It has been drybrushed also, now the hull and turret have the same level of wheatering. I also had some time to make the license plates and installed them on the hull and turret. On we go to the next step in the wheatering progress. The pics: An overall view of the model now: I have more pics on my HD but I don't know if my photobucket account will like such a load of pics... Thanks for viewing comments as always are welcome Greetings Roel
  15. Thanks for the comments guys. I have finished the pinwashes on the turret today. Tomorrow we will start the drybrushing. After that is finished I hope to start with dust end of this week. That's all for now. Comments as always are welcome!! Cheers Roel
  16. Hello Guys I wanted to share some new pics of the wheatering stages on my M-109A3 GN. I have finished the pinwash on the hull and drybrushed it completely. Now I have started the pinwashes on the turret. When that is finished it will also get a dry brush. You can still see the differances between the hull and turret. After the hull and the turret are on the same level of weathering we will start with the dust. The pics: The hull: The turret: Please share your comments. Thanks for viewing
  17. Hey Guys Thanks for the comments. I'm really glad you like it. Cheers Roel
  18. Hello It has been a while since I have posted any progress. I have been really busy the past months and I had not much time to do some modelling. But I have continued the project and this is the update. Since the last post the turret has been painted, the light green was made a tone darker to make it look better it did not satisfy me enough. And last of all the hull has been given a wash with oil paints. With the help of a friend of mine who watches me closely *o* Comments are welcome Grtz Roel
  19. The last colour was added to the hull this afternoon The pics: What do you think about the light green? I think it's a little to light.... ??? What's your idea? Thanks for the comments
  20. @ Sverre: Thanks for the comment While I have a lot of time this weak (I'm on leave ) I had a nice afternoon of cut and paste work and offcourse spraying the next colour on the hull. I added the dark green today. I hope to spray the light brown tommorrow and then the hull will be finished. Then it's on to the turret The first pic shows the result off 1,5 hour of cutting and pasting masking tape: And the hull after paint apply: Comments or suggestions are welcome as always. Grtz Roel
  21. Hey I have started testing and spraying some paint on the model. I only had the guts to try the hull first so Not such a big update. The light green and Black are on. I hope to spray the darkgreen tomorrow. Need to let the paint dry first before I tear off the paint with the masking tape. The light green looks lighter on the pictures as in real. The pics: Grtz Roel
  22. Is there anyone who has some pics of the multicolour camo? I miss some areas to make the camo as accurate as possible. Any pics are welcome. Thanks very much in advance Roel
  23. Hello Fellow Scandinavian modellers Thanks for all the comments so far . @ Sverre and Kyrre: Yes I will do the multi camo scheme. It would be a pitty to do the vehicle completely green with so much detail. It almost screams for the Multicolour camo. @Martin: Thank you! @Einar: I lost count off all the hours I started last year during Christmas holiday. Worked almost every saturday and sunday afternoon on it and during the week when I had time. @ Jens Hakon: I made the licence plate as follow:take a small piece off PE or aluminium foil. The numbers are taken from the sprues off the kit. Every part has a number those are perfect :P The real licence plate has it numbers stamped in. It has a little bit off relief that is how I got the idea. Thanks All Grtz Roel
  24. So here goes for the next load of pics. The finished model: Everything on the model which does not have the original dark green colour is scratch build. PE used is from left overs and I used some evergreen. That's all for now I must add that I am missing the right mirror Let's say they boys are waiting for a new one. Comments sugestions ideas are welcome. Please let me know what you think that is always of great help Then I want to say a very special word of thanks to Erik Torp and Erik Hagen from the IMPS Norge Forum for all there help!!! Thanks for viewing Greetings Roel
  25. Hello everybody Today I want to present my finished build of the Norwegian M-109A3 GN. I started this project last year during my vacation around Christmas. I had to wait for parts to continue my Leopard 1A5 BE build and that's the reason I started this new project. I got the idea while I was browsiing the prime portal website where I found almost all the reference pictures for my build. The kit was an old inaccurate model which was collecting dust The pics at prime portal, waiting for parts, and this nice model collecting dust where the ideal mix for a new project. Let 's cut the chat and move on to some pics shall we?? (Beware it's a load of pics it may take a while) The vehicle as it is used in the Norwegian artillery battalions: The kit from revell: The state of the model: After the cleanup = Major tank surgery The red arrows point to parts that had to be removed and holes that had to be filled: The turrets different stages: The beginning of the hull: So it ends hear for now The rest will follow within a few minutes Cheers Roel
