  2. Hi There Wonder if someone could please help,i am building at present a F-16B belonging to 332Sqn in the late 80s i beleive. The aircraft is carrying a black/gold fin band and a black disc containing an axe ,i think this aircraft was trying out new Sqn markings. I cannot find many pictures only two i have seen, would anyone please have any shots of this F-16B. Kind Regards Craig
  3. The Ref No for the paint i was given was ADC grey but it looks to bright,i thought Humbrol 127 might be just right, but any expert help would be most helpful. The F-104G i am doing is overall grey serial No 62-12240 tail No 240 and the picture dates to 1975. Kind Regards Craig
  4. Many thanks for the reply There is some very good information and shots to go through, i think i have made a mistake on the colour i have painted my F-104G.I think i am going to have a re-think on what the grey paint colour is. Kind Regards
  5. Hi There Wonder if someone can help,i have my 331Skv F-104G kit all painted up and ready for the decals, but the underwing sidewinder rails look a little bare.I dont want to put live sidewinders on them so was wondering if they ever flew with dummy sidewinder training rounds, either in orange or blue like on the F16s,i have tried most F-104 sites but can find nothing, they all seem to be clean pylons. Could anyone help with any pictures of them carrying training rounds. Kind Regards
  6. Thank you for the reply Dag, That information regarding 718sqn f-5s is most helpful,i am half way through my kit build of my Sola machine, i am doing one of the aircraft that was on the sqn exchange at RAF Binbrook, but i am trying out differant natural metal paints to get the right effect to look right on my kit.On the subject of Suu-20 practice bomb dispensers i beleive the F-16s use to carry these .not seen on the f-16mlu these days. I have for a while wanted to do a kit of a 338sqn machine f-16b i saw a few years while taking part in the RDAF excercise (Tactical Fighter Weoponry),but i cannot find the picture anymore would anyone have any pictures of RnorAF F-16s carrying these. Kind Regards Craig
  7. Hi There I am about to start my RF-84 Thunderflash kit,but i am not to sure about the colour scheme.I have a decal sheet which says the colours are nato dark green/grey with pru blue undersides, but i am not to sure as i cannot find pictures, would anyone be so kind as to help me out with the colour scheme, i mainly use humbrol paints so a referance to those paints would be most helpful. Kind Regards

  12. Hi There i have recently posted a thread on this excellant forum regarding ecm equipped F-5Bs for which i had some excellant replies , i am half way through my kit build of a F-5B in the above role but i am about to start my next subject which again is a F-5a and F-5b of 718 skv when based at Sola. These F-5s hold some very strong memories for me as i remember them been on a squadron exchange in August 1979 with our Lightnings of no 5 sqn at RAF Binbrook ,sadly Binbrook closed down some years ago but memories never go away i can even remember the detachment commanders name which was Major Knut Fossom and the only pictures i have are in a rather faded aircraft illustrated magazine. The aircraft that came to Binbrook i remember carried tip tanks and three under the fuselage i know that 718skv was the f-5 ocu so they must have carried wing tip rails and other differant stores so i was wondering if any one had any pictures of the F-5s in any differant store mode many thanks and kind regards..
  13. Hi There Espen many thanks for that information i had read somewhere that there was a double pylon for carrying two ECM pods but i have never seen it. The only picture i have seen of the chaff pods they where on a 336 sqn f-5a although i have seen them on a f-5b when taking part in a air defence excercise in Denmark ( Tactical Fighter Weoponry) i beleive. I have always been interested in RnorAF fighters but finding pictures of them on there home airfields fitted with training ordanance has always been difficult.again many thanks for that information kind regards lightning
  14. Hi There Einar i think the pods where used on the F-5As i have seen the chaff pods carried by the single seaters Kind Regards Craig
